FORT MYERS, FL — May 21, 2013 — Interop Technologies, a provider of core wireless solutions for advanced messaging, over-the-air handset management, and connectivity gateways, today announced that Nex-Tech Wireless will deploy its cloud Rich Communication Services (RCS) solution. The regional operator has also renewed its multi-year agreements for Interop’s cloud-based Short Message Service (SMS), Multimedia Message Service (MMS), Over-the-Air Provisioning (OTA) with Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system, and other value-added services.
Nex-Tech Wireless, based in Hays, Kansas, operates in Central and Western Kansas as well as in Colorado. With RCS, the operator will provide its subscribers with enhanced communication features, including one-to-one and group chat, file transfer, and image and video sharing during chat sessions. By selecting the Interop cloud deployment option, Nex-Tech Wireless can launch RCS quickly and cost effectively, without the need for an IMS core.
In addition to selecting the Interop RCS solution and renewing agreements for the Interop SMS, MMS, and OTA/IVR technology, Nex-Tech Wireless will continue to utilize Interop’s Messaging Personalization and Control (MPAC) and Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) services, as well as Interop’s cloud-based Commercial Mobile Alert System (CMAS) solution for delivery of Wireless Emergency Alerts.
