Charter Communications’ Spectrum Business brand introduced benefits for new and current business customers, including flexible packages and simplified prices, faster internet speeds for new business customers, and free “speed lifts” for some current customers.
The announcement encompasses Spectrum’s Customer Commitment — an assurance rolled out to residential customers last year and now aimed at Spectrum Business customers. The substance of the commitment is about reliability, transparency, and excellent service.
With the new enhancements, Spectrum Business customers get “guaranteed pricing for up to three years when multiple services are bundled with Ultra or Gig Internet, whole-dollar prices and more package options,” the announcement said. The benefits start today.
New small business customers can get Spectrum Business Internet for $40 per month for 12 months, with a starting speed of 500 Mbps. However, it must be bundled with two other business products. Bundling options include Spectrum Business Voice, Business Connect, Spectrum Mobile, and Business TV. Customers will have an option to get a three-year price guarantee as part of that bundle by leveling up to 750 Mbps or 1 Gig speed.
Spectrum Business said that download speeds will increase automatically, and at no additional cost, for current Spectrum Business Ultra Internet customers. They will rise from 600 Mbps to 750 Mbps.
The company’s Business Customer Commitment includes the following pillars:
- Reliable connectivity: In the event of an outage of Spectrum services lasting more than two hours, business customers will be given a credit for the full day. This excludes power outages, natural disasters and overnight scheduled maintenance.
- Exceptional service: U.S.-based customer service support is available 24/7. If professional help is needed, Spectrum Business will provide a technician within four hours if one is requested before 5 p.m. Several “satisfaction-or-your-money-back” guarantees are also part of the commitment.
- Transparency at every step: Spectrum Business said it is committed to clear and simple pricing and timely communications. For example, upon identifying a service interruption, it will notify its business customer within 15 minutes and work quickly to resolve the interruption. The company does not have annual contracts for its small business services.
Spectrum Business said it is committed to listening to its business customers’ feedback to foster improvements, to building a network capable of delivering symmetrical and multi-gigabit speeds, and to providing customers “the fastest wireless and Wi-Fi speeds on a network that can support up to 200 devices today and more in the future — designed, owned and operated in the USA.”
